Timmy is the owner of Dive Tech and Sports which opened in the Spring of 1994 and has been kicking ever since. Timmy began diving in 1989 and became an Open Water Instructor in 1993. Bart Haynes

Open Water Instructor, I started diving in 1981 when the sport was just starting to take shape. I quickly developed a passion for technical diving, mostly wreck diving. Later I was introduced to cave diving by Timmy Young and this soon replaced wreck diving as my number one dive destination. Having obtained my Technical Trimix Certification, I plan to dive with Timmy in some of the more advanced deep cave systems in the near future.

I enjoy working with students and seeing them become safe and competent scuba divers. Working for Dive Tech and Sports has allowed me to be exposed to some of the best Open Water Instructors in the business thus helping me to improve my skills with students. Being able to travel and scuba dive with a group of divers from the same shop has brought me some of my best memories in diving along withdeveloping some great friendships. Dive Tech and Sports is the center of the West Virginia diving community.

Christopher Martin

Chris Martin joined Dive Tech and Sports in 1994 after being certified in 1993. Chris first became a PADI Divemaster in 1994. Chris was a Divemaster for 6 years before becoming an Open water Instructor for American Nitrox Divers International in 2000. He wanted to learn everything he could before he began teaching others how to become safe and confident divers. He believes that divers should be trained to be self sufficient and aware of the importance of protecting our environment. Chris recently became Full Cave certified and is now an instructor for Scuba Schools International.
